Welcome to our resource page for our Spring Women’s Retreat at Sweetwater Christian Church.

RETREAT INSTRUCTIONS
This online retreat will be facilitated by early access to a handful of video and written resources for you to enjoy and engage with throughout the week before our Friday evening Zoom social (flyer and instructions here: Zoom Social Flyer) and our Saturday small group discussions. For information about the format & schedule of the retreat in general, please visit www.sweetwaterchristian.org/womensretreat.
Our retreat theme is “Walking in the Wilderness” and we invite you to first read a thoughtful meditation on the story of Hagar written by Michelle Mikeska, one our Elders.
Then, we encourage you to watch a handful of videos from various members and leaders at our church as they share with you some personal spiritual reflections on their own time of wilderness-walking during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you are interested, we highly suggest you find some quiet time (about 45 minutes) and a calm space and allow Burgandy Roberts, a member of the church, to lead you through an uplifting Yoga meditation.
Finally, if you’d like to start thinking through your own wilderness experience ahead of our Saturday small group discussions, feel free to look through our discussion questions and begin to think through your answers.
** Important Note: the order of resources laid out above is just a suggestion – you can read or watch the videos in whatever order you’d like as there is no official progression**
If you have any questions or problems accessing any of these resources, please let us know by emailing us at office@sweetwaterchristian.org.
Likewise, if you haven’t registered for your Saturday group discussion time slot, please do so here: REGISTER.
If you haven’t gotten the Zoom meeting link, ID, and password for your session by Friday evening, May 15, please text us at (281) 724-3755.
